Partner Selection

DBS has trusted partners throughout the country to meet all our contracting needs. Subcontractors

The three Garland Industries roofing companies serving the U.S., Canada, and Europe, have long-standing relationships with locally based roofing contractors whose work and financial status have been scrutinized to ensure best-practice standards of quality workmanship, fiscal accountability, and workplace safety. Garland offers classroom, video, and on-site training to familiarize crews with system application. In addition, contractors are monitored on-site regularly, and continually reevaluated to ensure they are meeting DBS standards of performance.

The Garland local contractor network ensures an even playing field in competitive bid situations. When you choose DBS as your construction partner, you can be sure that every contractor that bids on your projects has the labor, equipment, financial stability, and safety record needed, and is familiar with all local building code requirements.

If you are already working with a preferred contractor, we will invite them to initiate a qualification process that looks like the diagram on the right.

Material Suppliers

Roofing materials on jobsite photoAs a fully owned subsidiary of Garland Industries, Inc., DBS typically specifies materials manufactured and distributed by its sister companies, The Garland Company, Inc., Innovative Metals Company, and Commercial Innovations, Inc., to ensure single-source accountability for performance outcomes. If the building owner has specific performance requirements that cannot be met with the use of materials from one our sister companies, our Engineering Services team in conjunction with our trusted architect subconsultants would specify the appropriate materials to complete the project based on the performance requirements set forth. Ancillary materials are typically provided by DBS subcontractors who share our commitment to quality performance outcomes and hold a common interest in their workmanship guarantees provided on every project.

Small Business Subcontractors

Industry Partners

Industry partners photoMost contractors have limitations to the amount of available resources they can apply to a specific customer, account or project. What differentiates DBS from all other contractors is our relationship with our sister companies and the partnerships we have forged with industry experts. These partnerships, in conjunction with our internal staff and best practice procedures, allow us to manage multiple concurrent projects at any given time across all geographical areas.

Through the DBS Engineering Services Division, we have the ability to tap professionals specializing in the exterior building disciplines of building science, architectural design, structural engineering, wind uplift, snow loading, dead loading, and snow and ice retention, in addition to roofing, waterproofing, and thermal evaluation. When a customer has an exterior building or building envelope need, we can respond quickly and efficiently by teaming with our industry partners to deliver consistent and professional services whenever requested. Each industry partner has a history of delivering the required information rapidly and professionally.
